The President serves as the chief executive officer of the organization and the primary representative to the Oakland-Macomb Youth Football Association (OMYFA). This role oversees all football and cheer operations, ensuring compliance with OMYFA rules, organizational bylaws, and safety standards. The President leads the local board, facilitates communication between the league, coaches, parents, and volunteers, and ensures the program operates efficiently and fairly. The President is responsible for attending OMYFA meetings, voting on behalf of the organization, and maintaining accountability across all levels. The President promotes sportsmanship, integrity, and a positive experience for every participant.
The Vice President supports the President in all administrative and operational duties of the organization and acts as the President’s representative when they are unavailable. This role helps ensure compliance with OMYFA and organizational policies, assists in coordinating football and cheer activities, and provides oversight to specific committees or events as assigned. The Vice President works closely with board members to maintain clear communication, resolve issues, and promote consistency across all teams. In the absence of the President, the Vice President assumes full authority and responsibility for leading meetings, representing the organization to OMYFA, and managing day-to-day operations.
Maintains a register of members and directors; records the minutes of meetings; is responsible for sending out notice of meetings, issues, membership cards and maintains a record of the league’s activities.
Signs checks co-signed by another officer or director; dispenses league funds as approved by the board of directors; reports on the status of league funds; keeps local league books and financial records; prepares budgets and assumes the responsibility for all league finances.
Coordinates all safety activities; ensures the safety in player training; ensures safe playing conditions; coordinates reporting and prevention of injuries; solicits suggestions for making conditions safer, and reports suggestions to Little League International through the league President.
Represents and organizes ROYFT Football and Cheer coaches in the program; presents a coach/manager training budget to the board; gains the support and funds necessary to implement a program-wide training program; orders and distributes training materials to players, coaches and managers; coordinates clinics and training as necessary; serves as the contact person for the program and its manager/coach education program.
